This is my entry for my alpha challenge of the week 5 letter X. Challenge was to be a masculine card using a ef as the double challenge. Here is my version for letter X = Xebec a triple masted ship. Using SU's The Open Sea I made my first shaker card. X's are also made by crossing of the cord. And it's for a special uncle's birthday. Hope he likes it.
Also like to say a special mahalo to Ms. Sally from our alpha crew for helping with a donation to make this card possible.

Wow! This is gorgeous! What a wonderful idea, to put a ship in a shaker card!. I love the beautiful frame on the shaker/porthole. Great job on the embossing too.

Wow, this is so awesome. I love shaker cards but have not tried to do one yet. The blue foil really stands out and is lovely on this. Well done! And how did you do the white piece that happy birthday is stamped on? The middle points are unique on it.

Dang! You made the wait worth it! What a fabulous shaker card!!! I love the shading around this ship image, the fabulous porthole frame wrapped in jute in such a creative fashion, and the embossed metallic "water." Super job!!! ~Karen. (P.s., it is a very good thing I proofread this post first because I wrote, "what a fabulous soaker card!"- yikes!). Now Vickster, you are probably the only person I would admit this too because I know you will find the humor in this. Maybe soaker card is fitting since this is a ship and I am sure the crew do get soaked, but shaker card is what I intended. LOL.

Awesome! Great card. Your uncle will absolutely love it. The crossed rope (I see the x's) outlining the opening looks like a porthole. Fabulous nautical theme. The anchor is a nice touch. X-cellent card for Letter X.

I love that "porthole" of sorts look. The natural coloring and elements are great…twine, etc. Extra awesome that it is a shaker. I really love this one.
