I was inspired by Donna's:
-colours (aqua, red, green, kraft)
-floral theme
-stripes
I changed:
-technique
-layout
-number of layers
-embellishments
I started with a graduated wash on my background in Peacock feathers and then I took another shot at a faux watercolour technique using distress inks. This time, I stamped the image repeatedly, layering up the distress inks, cleaning the stamp between each layer, and therefore keeping the stamp quite wet. That helped with the blending. When I was finished, I spritzed the clean stamp from a distance and then stamped it just with the water on it. That also helped blend and spread the ink a bit without it going so far that the shapes were lost

Oh, Ardyth, I saw this earlier on IG and love it! It's beautifully done with the soft watercolor wash, and how intriguing about how you stamped the flower! That sounds interesting and worth a try *wink* - I love it and think it's beautifully done and also agree with Hilde that the black and white stripes on the left are lovely! Hugs!

Ardyth, I love the black and white stripped border with your pretty flowers. The peacock background is so soft and pretty and I really love the technique you used stamping the flowers. This is lovely!

You've really gotten into water coloring! I love how this turned out...and that black and white stripe on the side adds just the right amount of interest!

Your beautifully colored delicate flowers look just amazing against the softly fading blue background. And I love the narrow strip of black and white stripe at side. Great card and straight into my faves : )
