I made this for my brother's birthday, using the recent Circle Spinner tutorial.
To start I made my space backgrounds by stamping and embossing the flourish background with gold, and then adding Brushos - cobalt blue, prussian blue, purple. For the piece backing the spinner track, I used the same colours but no embossing. I left all these pressing under a couple of books overnight...
Today I sponged the base with black and assembled the card. The sun was made using alcohol inks on photo paper and two different sun dies, and is popped up. The earth was stamped on watercolour paper, embossed with clear EP and coloured with Inktense pencils. I created a fun sentiment with a Dymo labeller.
The inside earth is what I was originally going to use in the centre of the spinner, with a small plane or maybe Woodstock in a balloon spinning around. But when I got to thinking, I thought that the earth orbiting the sun would be a fun way to go, especially for a birthday card. So I just used the spare earth to add the inside sentiment to - I'll stick it inside and stamp a Happy Birthday greeting.
