My bg is a piece of sheet music which I painted with gesso and green acrylic paint. I sprayed it with gold distress stain which is hard to see in my picture. I then stamped my images and masked the windmill and sentiment. A gold jelly roll pen was used to "write" a stream of consciousness background. Some washi tape was added and a darker green scribbled on the edge with colored pencils. This was fun..I tried to practice the illegible writing but found the best way to do it was to write as fast as I could..and it came out pretty bad..which was the point ;)

A lovely collage! Your patterned paper is unexpected and perfect here. I have that stamp set and am always amazed that you think of much better ways to use yours than I do mine! Fab card!

Ah, you wrote afterwards! I wondered how you got it so clear after using paint. And I guess writing with a pen like that is always going be another generation "looser" than normal handwriting. What a wonderful monochromatic mixed marvel, Polly.

Polly you are the master of mixed media! Thanks for always describing your process. This is such a fantastic card and I love that bike! That background is amazing! No idea how you come up with things like this but I do love seeing them.

It's hard to overcome our perfectionist urges, right? Once you let go it's so fun, and yours is absolute perfection. I love the gold because it just becomes part of your background and your scene. So pretty.
