I can see my flowers dying off in the garden as we come to the end of the summer, it's so sad but I still love the change in seasons and will be looking forward to the fall.
For the challenge I wanted to post a pretty flower image I created a week or so ago during a craft day with my buddies. It's been lying on my desk waiting to be put together, I mounted it on a 5X7 card because I just couldn't trim the image down it's too pretty.
These craft days with friend produce many backgrounds waiting just for the right moment to be mounted.
The image is texture paste through a stencil, while the stencil is still in place remove all excess paste from the stencil and paint with watercolours. The watercolours need to be somewhat dry rather than wet. Too much water will cause the colour to run under the stencil.
I hope you like it

Beautiful stencil and your colors are just awesome. The yellow is very sunny and I like that....can't bear to see summer leave us.

It's gorgeous Christine ... and even better in real life. Love this technique as it not only produces a beautiful card, but watercolouring over the wet paste give a wonderful added texture. xx

Gorgeous choice of colors and thanks for describing this new to me technique, Christine! Being in a creative slump I welcome trying something new. This turned out so beautiful and something I'd love to try!
