When I made my two cards with the seagulls, I had stamped several lighthouses on the scraps so that I could cut them out. I had an extra one and thought I would make it into a bookmark. Unlike the cards, I didn't fussy cut the lighthouse or seagulls. The lighthouse panel is all one layer. The cheesecloth was scraps from the cards. I wanted to challenge myself to use only white cardstock for this bookmark. So I matted the lighthouse panel with white cardstock that I had used a brown marker to draw lines around the edges. I also used a layer of white that I used a black marker on. My daughter just graduated from college this spring and she is now a teacher and librarian at a high school here in Iowa. I am making bookmarks for her to put in a basket to give away to students as an incentive for reading. So you might see a few more bookmarks made from scraps that match my cards in the weeks to come
