My mom lives in a beachy town and has changed her style to suit it, so when she reached a milestone birthday, I wanted to make a card that fit with this style change. I totally and shamelessly cased a 2010 tutorial by Michelle Zindorf. The rules of casing are to change three things, but sometimes those changes are so subtle as to be almost imperceptible! Such is the case here. Michelle is the absolute and undisputed queen of brayering, whereas I cannot brayer to save my life!! However, I am a pretty decent sponger and gave myself a bit of a hand cramp laying down all those layers of sponging) Michelle used white craft ink and a sponge to create her foam effect, but again, I have never had success with that and changed to a signo gel pen and was happy with the effect all my little white dots created. Michelle used a Journey definition and I used a milestone one. I did not have the flourishes she used for her upper design so I got out what I had to try and recreate her effect. She also used multiple mats and a ribbon, but I just did a single mat and was happy to let her beautiful design stand alone.
Edited to add the link for the tutorial so you have all the instruction you need Blogs at Splitcoaststampers

Love, love, love it! You did a beautiful job, Michele! I'm a Michelle Zindorf fan, too.
Thank you for all the detail you gave with your description of how you made it.
Thank you especially for explaining the rule of casing! Sadly, I didn't know it. I probably followed it anyway, for the same reasons you did: I didn't have the same stamps or paper, the technique wasn't one that I was particularly good at or liked, or the greeting wasn't the one I needed for the card I was sending.

This card is such lovely sponging, and splatters. The flourish is such perfect stamping to give movement to the water. And the pointillism is so creative and clever for the sea foam. Completely gorgeous!
