I fell in love with these buckles from Tim Holtz and must have had them for better than a year before I finally executed my idea for them. I had my grandfather in mind (he passed 1985) as I was making this. My father was NOT a suit and tie kinda guy.
As both my dad and grandfather are deceased, it never occurred to me to use father's day (I know, it was in June ;) ) sentiment. Well, now you have another idea.
Ok, down and dirty details:
* Cut "pants" and embossed them
* Cut 1/2" strip for the belt (keep some length for adjustments)
* Slipped buckle into position, marked for holes, added brad to secure buckle in place.
* Using scoring board (MS mini scoreboard used), determine your preferred width for button panel
* Adhere buttons with glue dots
* Adhere "pants" with my ATG
* Adhere belt with "red" tape
* Cut excess off belt
* Stamp sentiment (optional)
Could be used for a skirt... hmmm what was that technique with the pleats several months ago?

How absolutely fabulous are these cards. I love them to bits!!!! A friend of mine bought these buckles last week and she asked me what could she do with them. I suggested a belt for her rabbit.....I can't wait to show her these. Hugaroonies and thank you for sharing your talent with us Deborah.
