What amazing architectural accents on todays Pinterest challenge site. There were several that I wish I could have translated into a card, but couldn't. I found this gorgeous Abstract Textured Sculpture Painting to use as my inspiration.
I die cut the tree, bird and sentiment 3 times each. Cut the tree in half, glued to the vanilla rectangle. Ran texture paste over the tree, then removed the excess from between the branches. Added texture paste under the tree. Cut a white mat, a vanilla mat and assembled all the pieces onto a pierced white base.

I just love the texture and the dimension in your design! It seems both simple and elaborate all at once -- just like architectural masterpieces tend to be. Though I definitely see how inspired you were by the reference image, it also reminds me of old Greek and roman temples. The embossing paste is almost like plaster, and there's great linear dimension in your paper layers.

Bestill my heart- this is stunning! I love how you used just half of the tree on a sloping hill for this card. I also love all the layers you used in fabulous alternating neutral colors. The bird and sentiment are the perfect finishing touches for this amazing work of art! ~Karen.
