To achieve the soft color effect, I glued one heart layer to a piece of vellum, turned it over and colored the back with copics. Then I added 2 more die cut hearts, stacked on top. After die cutting another heart from a large stitched square, layer the square on a square, punched border card front with foam tape, and drop the stacked hearts into the negative spot. Layer the last heart on top.
Yikes, that sound so complicated, its much easier than it sounds!
