I fell in love with this technique, gosh how long ago was this technique spotlighted, 3+ yrs ago!!!!!!!!
Since I scrapbook too, I needed to simplify and quicken the process so I attempted a "dry" version of Sharon Field's technique. If this has been spotlighted somewhere else, I have not seen it and apologize if I've duplicated anything.
Anyhow, I've use this technique for several dozen scrapbook pages and cards thru the years.
I begin with white 12x12 cs sheets. I run several full size ink pads across the paper at varying angles and pressures in the same direction. All I can say is add layers until you like the results. Begin slowly and with less, you can add as needed.
For some projects, I finish it with a layer of glue for a light sheen as in this photo.
Depending upon the project, I either score and mark with a pencil/marker for definition of wood planks, and/or stamp with SU wood grain for a little more detail.
Thank you Sharon Field and SCS for your inspiration and creativity!!!
