I had a wonderful two weeks full of family. Now, I'm catching up on some challenges and needed birthday cards. Wendy's Frameworthy F4A challenge works perfectly with this great image.
Polly (peeps321) is my idol when it comes to photo stamps! Her images are always so clear. She was nice enough to give me some hints and then surprised me with some images, including this Frida Kahlo photo. Thanks Polly!
I colored the image with Distress inks and Qtips. I used a blend of Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet for a flesh tone. I adhered heavy duty aluminum foil to CS, embossed, trimmed away the center, framed the image and mounted to a black cardbase. The inside says, "Well-behaved women rarely make history." This goes to a very good friend who is rarely well-behaved, loves art, especially Frida Kahlo, for her birthday. TFL

Carla this is AWESOME!! Your coloring is perfect and that frame....I love it! It looks like a frame that would be used on one of Frida's own paintings. WOW..your friend is going to be so thrilled with this special card. Glad you're back..I was missing your creativity!
