I made this card after watching a Catherine Pooler video in which she demo'd this Wendy Vecchi technique. This card requires a little fussing with in order the get the size right so it fits in an A2 envelope. Cut your top panel first so you have the height measurement correct, but leave the sides a little long. Die cut the butterfly out of the left side so the left wing is left over the edge. Now cut your card base to fit 3 sides of the top panel (top, bottom, and left sides), then cut the top panel to fit the card base. This is the easiest way to do this, but it is easier to do it than read about it. Now die cut a butterfly from glitter cardstock and use Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color it with. Just tap the tip of the marker to the gitter cardstock, do not swipe it, or it will ruin your marker nib. Adhere a 1.5-2" piece of acetate behind the top panel where the butterfly die open space is. Now Adhere the body and right wing of the butterfly to the acetate using glossy accents. Stamp sentiment and adhere top panel to card base using foam tape. This really is quite easy to do - it sounds more complicated when reading it.

You are right Karen, it does sound complicated, but the result is Marvelous! Your butterfly is so pretty in the pastel tones...Beautiful font on your sentiment and sweet little gems to complete this creation~
