Pulling out the lily die cut from Penny Black I used the Tim Holtz distress inks and smashed 3 oranges/yellows on the mat. Using the water brush added some color to the flower. Then used two greens and used the water brush to add those. Once dry I sponged on some brown around the edge of the flower. Cut some layers of white to add layers as Vickie did on her card and added some dimensionals to the bottom layer. I added an oval layer and sponged on some green around the oval. Used a banner die cut and added happy birthday. Before mounting the lily I shaped it a bit and only added glue to the stem and center of the flower. Finished the flower off with some stickles and liquid pearls.
I would love it it you would check out my Blog: Shoe Girls Cards.

This is just gorgeous! I am really taken with how you applied darker ink around the edges of the flower - this adds so much and I would never have thought to do this. Wow! I love how you colored this beautiful flower and added all the shimmer to it, and I love how you showcased it with this nicely shaded oval and banner sentiment. This is a real beauty! ~Karen.

Lisa, these flowers are WONDERFUL!!! I've never used liquid pearls, and clearly I need to do so. I haven't used a whole lot of stickles either, they haven't worked for me too well, but look what you do with them in combination--startlingly beautiful flowers, and you know how much I love playing with flowers, although I am definitely a novice... I am WILDLY impressed, WOW!!!
This is going into my favorites so I can take another look at these!!! I've been playing with some new paints and products, you never know where it will lead...sometimes for me it's just a muddy mess, and other times it turns out into something that thrills me.
What you have created here--is definitely one FANTASTIC THRILLER, wonderful!!!
Best wishes, great to see this fantastic card of yours!!!
