I got a wild hair when making this birthday card for my dear friend Dawn. I decided to try something I have never done before. I stenciled the lattice background, then wondered if I could use another stencil on top of this and use glass bead glitter gel. So I placed the blacked eyed susan stencil over the lattice background, masked off all but one corner of the stencil, then sponged ink thru the stencil using a finger dauber. Left the stencil in place and using a pallet knife, applied a thin layer of glass bead glitter gel over the flowers I had just sponged color into. Removed the stencil and set this aside to dry overnight. The paper did warp a little so I used a heat tool on the under side and that flattened it out nicely. Die cut the birthday words and stamped the sentiment. I did not have Pistachio Pudding cardstock so I sponged Pistachio Pudding ink all around a piece of white cardstock and this is the green layer you see. I had an absolute blast doing this technique and have made a few cards in this manner now.

This is so pretty! I love the glitter flowers! If this is the first time you've done this technique then I say bring more on because you did a beautiful job!
