I have been experimenting with the pounded flower technique over the past few months - Today I picked part of a large purple geranium from my garden. I laid out the petals and part of the stem on a scrap of white cardstock, covered with several layer of paper towel and pounded the heck out of it with my hammer until the pigments from the flower had transfered to the paper. Luckily I found some scrapbook papers that coordinated well with the hammered flower and put them together following todays sketch challenge diagram - by default the flower itself is the final circular element for the sketch.

I never think of this technique! You did a great job hammering the heck out of the flower blossom........and the paper is a great match!

Fabulous technique and yours turned out great! The papers and colors coordinate nicely with your hammered flower pigment. Nicely done with the sketch. Love your creativity! TFS
