Another Summer Adventure. This card was going to be lighter blue with lots of shabby chic layers and soft sea shells. It was going to be a soft and sweet birthday card. It all started when the sponging on the base layer was too dark (I used the wrong color or a heavy hand). The stamped sea shells didn't show very well and then I saw the new Flamingo Palm tree stamp and realized it would be fun to add and then the whole card took a turn. Came out fun though so I saved it from the trash.
Many hugz!

aghhhhhhhhhhhh (aka long sharp gasp of breath).........thank goodness this got saved and not trashed (I said that in my best American accent, we would just say binned) I digress. The bluey greeny walnutty weathered wood jumped right out of the gallery at me, shortly followed by the sea shells stamping, the flamingos, palm trees and distressed edges, not to mention the anchor and sentiment. Nancy I LOVE this!!! Hugz my friend xx

Wow! Nancy - this is amazing! I'm glad you went overboard (excuse the pun) with the sponging because it has worked, and how! AND you fussy cut those palms and flamingo, you deserve a medal dear friend x

Oh my goodness, is this card inspired or WHAT?? With the nod to Jimmy Buffett, as well as your new Summer Story greetings, the palm trees, the flamingo, I will join you on the next chorus of "Margueritaville" The distressed wood planks, the stamped shells, your ANCHOR, and just the hint of a great memory being made with your sentiment, this one knocks the ball right out of the park! So glad this took the turn you wanted - I would not want to see something this amazing in your trash can!!

It's hard to believe it didn't start out this way, it looks so planned. I love the deep colors and the distressing, the aging on the anchor and the moss growing on the lumber, and the final touch is the flamingos peeking through palms. I love it.

If you ever have any more cards that don't get saved and go in the trash, you can always send them on over to me. I love your work. This may not be what you had intended, but it sure is delightful. I love this one, Hugs
