A big congrats to Rita, the newest Featured Stamper! Wow, what a huge, wonderful gallery she has! After much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the flower theme & general layout, but I moved the vertical band to the other side, used different dies, different colors & made mine a Christmas card.
For my card, I started w/ a large white die cut panel & narrower dot border die cut white linen panel. On the larger one, I sponged the red & red-orange inks from the bottom left corner up & out for a little ways, letting it kind of trail off at the ends, then I attached the dot border linen panel on top. I die cut the poinsettia ribbon & larger grosgrain ribbons along w/ the wider leaf poinsettia out of the same linen but I sponged the red inks on the big poinsettia & the wider ribbon.
The Merry part of the greeting was also die cut & sponged. For the center of the poinsettia, I used a frosted flatback resin button..it's very sparkly & looks like cut glass. It was clear but I dotted it all over w/ a lipstick orange Copic marker.
Congrats again, Rita! Thanks so much for looking. Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie, What a stunning card. I love the little details you add to your cards like the dots around the image and the color behind your top layer.
