Happy Friday! I'm hosting the challenge this week in the Mix-Ability forum! Join me and the rest of us mixers with MIX180: Notan Technique. Use contrasting colors (specific values) AND the notan technique that includes designing in harmony and balance.
I've unlocked my grade school art projects and added a mixed media twist. I went a little happy with the circles, but it can be as simple as a square with a half circle die cut out each side and flipped to the outside of the square.
I started with a colorful piece of monoprint paper made with acrylic paints and a border of white acrylic paint marker.
The circles were drawn on the back of the monoprint using a pencil and drafting circle template. I cut them out by hand with scissors or a craft knife. Then it was just a matter of laying them all back in place and flipping out certain circles, leaving others and using some creative license to get the harmony of the design.
I stamped the sentiment using my mini MISTI with a few stamps to make it dark and a black pen to clean up any halos from the papers edge.

I don't think there is too much happy with the circles, your card is great, love the circle theme with your colorful mixed media bg. I am now realizing I didn't fully understand the technique of color contrast along with the cutting...
