Emily has crafted since she was 5 and is now designing on her own. She did acetate smooshing for her background and stamped Grumpy with Versafine and used clear embossing powder. She added just a bit of color with Zig brush markers. She chose the sentiment which seems to fit Grumpy quite well. She asked about embellishing. I threw out some suggestions. She opted to stitch, went through my home made stitching templates and chose the flourish, then made up her own stitches in the corner. I did case her card but hers is much better than mine. Thanks for stopping by.

This is fabulous!!! The young kids seem to be getting more and more talented. I think it is wonderful that she can be mentored by you Nancy. I love the soft colored bg with the emphasis on the grumpy penguin. :>)

Wow! This is fabulous! I love everything about it from the gorgeous background to the beautiful stitching. The image just speaks for itself (grin), and she chose the perfect sentiment. You taught her well! I hope she's as proud of this as she should be!

Made me laugh! Great way to start my day looking at that grumpy bird and reading that sentiment! Tell Emily she did a great job on her smooshing background.

I think she is getting all your artistic talent through osmosis! Hope I get to watch her in action this year - she is definitely evolving as a creative crafter!! Great job, Emily!! You taught her well, Nancy!!
