Talk about perfect timing for a need for a guy thinking of you card! There were two challenges this week for guy cards, so I decided to accept the challenges and make a card for my dear hubby who was needing to be reminded how very much he is loved.
The clean & simple challenge, CAS381 - Hey Dude! (6/13/16) was to make a Fathers Day card or a guy card. The ways to use it challenge, WT588 - Make it Masculine, was to make a card for a guy. Yeah to both challenges for the inspiration!
I made this as a notecard, which fit nicely in a Kraft colored Paper Pocket (found at Craft Warehouse).
The stitched label rectangle is made with a die from a set by Gina Marie Designs. Totally love this set of dies because they fit perfectly on an A2 card or can be used as a classy notecard.
The SU Bear Hugs stamp and die set is so, so fun to use! I was nervous that I wouldn't like it once I got it, but I am happy to report that this one is "winner" - versatile, easy to use and the stamps are easy to line up on the die cuts.
You will notice that the bear has stamped fur on the back side of the arms that come around to hug the heart. There are several good videos on how to align the stamped image on the backside, but it boils down to aim-and-stamp. I only had a couple that were a bit off center and I got better the more I stamped. If you get this stamp & die set, I would recommend that you cut and stamp several at one sitting. They will turn out better and you will have them ready to use whenever you need to make a quick card.
Thanks for peeking in on my This Hugs For You bear card. Please join us in the guy card challenges, they are so fun to do!
