Sabrina's great sample for today's "Make it Masculine" challenge reminded me I hadn't played with foil tape in an age so my dad's father's day card went down that route, with a foil tape art piece on a card base stamped with cogs and shaded with a bit of cross hatching and a charcoal pencil.

Joanne, your simple layout puts the focus on your foil tape art, love it! I've got the tape, you and Sabrina are inspiring me to put it to use. This is beautiful.

Glad to have reminded you, Joanne! What a perfect card for the challenge. I bet your dad will love this. The cog background goes with it so well. I see you don't list a fixative, I'm just curious as to whether you find that the charcoal smudges or not? It's mostly what puts me off using it, I make a mess where I don't want it. But when I worked for the company that distributed Winsor & Newton here, the charcoal sticks used to simply fly out!!
