It seemed perfect to do a memorial board for my Mom's funeral tomorrow.
When I went to her craft desk, she was working on a card before she went into the hospital, and I used every little flower, embellishment, scrap, and the pieces of the card she was working on to make this. I also added in various things from her hobbies like some paint brushes, pallet knife, a tube of paint, a piece of a hymn page out of her piano music box, a rose from one of her coloring books she was working on, little mementos from her treasure box like her 600 club bowling pin and patch, an old earring and some broken chains.
This was such a fun adventure and it was fun to work on it with my sister and my daughter - not to mention the various friends and family members who stopped by. It was therapeutic. Thanks for the inspiration and great instructions, Linda.

What a treasure this is Nancy! You used such wonderful bits and pieces of her life to creat this....I love the fact that you used the embellishments, etc that she had just been working with. This artistic memory board is such a sweet and loving project and it means even more that it was put together by those who loved her.
I'm so sorry for your loss...sincere condolences...and "hugz"

Aww, Nancy, what a touching tribute to the wonderful woman your Mom exemplified to the world - family, friends, all her crafting loves and interests - not to mention how it helped you all to think of, talk, and keep her present in your hearts - this is a TREASURE!! Love how you used so many 'little' things that made up the WONDERFUL person she was!! This just explodes with her 'joy of life' - memories to make you smile, every time you look at it!! BIG HUGZ!!!
