This little old cottage has been weathered by everything that can be thrown at it - rain, sunshine, drought and age.
I started by using some card that I had - corrugated white card - I painted it with acrylic paints to look like aged rusted tin. This was used for the background - to match the sheets of tin on the old house.
The image is coloured with Derwent Inktense Pencils.
A great little Escape to the Country!
Hope you enjoy.

I have seen lots of these kinds of well weathered homesteads in the area I grew up in. Weathered, worn and well used.
what a great card, thanks for the look back to earlier days.
Love the metal look you got with the corrugated paper.
Awesome card!
