This is for our Teapot Tickle. The theme this month is to honor firefighters , especially those who have and are currently fighting the fire in Fort McMurray Canada. I used a fireman image from the internet. It's actually a character from a UK kid's show called Fireman Sam. My nephews love that show and like to imitate the voices (I believe the show takes place in Wales). Anyway I chose Sam as the fireman here. I cut flames and placed them behind the city. They're highlighted with gel pens. The sooty clouds are made using a scalloped die and sponging with distress ink. I added the maple leaf to honor the brave Canadians.

Hmm, I don't think I know that series! I must see if I can find some and listen - love the Welsh accent. Polly, what a scary fiery background with all those flames and sooty clouds - I'm glad it's only on paper!
