One of my five Christmas cards that meet the June theme of trees, foliage, wreaths...
I decided to challenge myself on this, and was wishing I hadn't before I was finished!
As I was coloring this, I had no intention of fussy cutting it, but after I added the blue shadow around the edge, I thought it looked strange. I filled in the center with blue and extended the blue around the outside. Well, THAT looked awful! I had way too much time invested to scrap it, so I roughly fussy cut the image and decided I could live with it. It's popped up with foam tape and layered onto the glitter stripe to bring out the shimmer of the Wink of Stella and Gelly Roll Stardust pens I used on the image - not that you can see much of that in the photo. But all in all, I'm pretty pleased with the final outcome.
As always, thanks for looking!

Love it!! so glad you did not toss this one - all the details in the wreath made me think of the 12 days of Christmas - all the sparkle in the layering really makes it POP - you are really getting me thinking of different ways to use that glittered striped paper too! What a GREAT Christmas card, Jodi!!

I can't believe how much coloring you are willing to do on an image and it's beautiful! Love the bold colors. Now the fussy cutting- I BOW to you for doing this one with all those little things sticking out of that wreath! The layers look fabulous and love all the sparkle! A lot of work went into this and it was SO worth it!

Oh I so agree with Nancy. You are the most patient stamper . Besides all the coloring, then you top it off with fussy cutting. Love the striped paper for the bg. Fav'd

This is truely lovely, Jody. Your fussy cutting us amazing, and the little bit of blue along the edges is perfect. What an awesome coloring job. The glittery bg cut into that nice shape is perfect.

Jody, this may not be what you anticipated when starting out, but I'm glad you're pleased with the end product. I pretty darn pleased myself. I love the wreath and your coloring really showcases the beauty of the image. Job well done, my friend.
