This is for the Free 4 All Challenge – What’s Your Interest? Make a card based on what you like to do with your free time. I like to send cards to cancer patients through an organization called Chemo Angels. I have a “Buddy” assigned to me to whom I send cards, letters, jokes, interesting stories, to their mailbox on a regular basis. I am also on the Special Assignment team for birthdays and for those needing extra support to get through a difficult time. It’s my honor to do this in remembrance of my mom who passed from cancer. I know she would have benefited greatly from having “happy mail” periodically in her mailbox. This activity gives me great personal satisfaction for doing something good for others; and motivation to get those cards made and mailed. My card represents what I like to do. I embossed the mailbox in black, then using my aqua painter pen; I painted watery ink around the image. I got carried away with the pink & red and it dribbled at the end, but it’s kind of cool. After painting, I used a speckle stamp around and added some sequins. I raised up the panel on two embossed strips and the card base. What a fun & thought provoking challenge! Thanks for looking!

How thoughtful to be a chemo angel. My mom always enjoyed getting cards while she was ill. So many came from 'Karen's friend'. Love your color and the hearts coming out of the mailbox! Great panels behind too.

What a perfect image to depict your involvement in sending encouraging mail to cancer patients. I have a dear friend battling cancer now, and a pretty or funny card can really cheer her up.
I love the sweet pink message of support coming from your mailbox!

What a great thing to do!! Wow, such a great way to use the cards you've made/make!! I feel quite guilty now! I do donate my cards but not to such a worthy cause I think. Beautiful!! Just like you!
Thanks for playing!

As a 15 year cancer survivor, I know that your thoughtful actions are greatly appreciated. I was sick for over a year and my sons were only 4 and 5....they enjoyed opening the cards and deciding where to hang them as much as I enjoyed getting them. I love the pinky red on this card. It looks like "comfort and love" flowing out of the mailbox. The sequins give it a little "pixy dust" feeling, and the ef background looks lovely. Bless you for using your talents in such a wonderful way.
