I went the shabby chic route today (extra points I believe)...It is hard to see but I do have text on my card..it's on the dp on the left side. I went over it with gesso mixed with some darker glimmer mist to sort of make it shabbier (is that a word?). I then added some embossed dots using versamark and some marcasite ep. The jar has tulle in it representing some sand. The seam binding was dyed using some distress ink and it was in my stash luckily so I could pull it out and use it today. And that's about it..Off to book club...last day with the kids before summer.

Absolutely fantastic card. BONUS POINTS!!!! I love how you added the tulle to the jar. That seam binding looks fabulously shabby! I hope you have a blessed day today!

The tulle in the jar is a fabulous idea, Polly - I'm going to try to remember that. And I love the sound of the marcassite ep. What a fun summer card this is, right down to the beautiful ribbon.

I love this Polly, especially the sand in the jar. Your gessoed bg looks great and the soft muted colors look terrific. I have such trouble with seam binding bows, so I am jealous of the beautiful obe you nade. Where fo you get your ribbon...I can't find it anywhere. Faved.

Polly, this is beautiful, and I agree -- love the idea of tulle in the jar simulating sand! Genius! And what a beautiful card with the jar of shells and your gorgeous dyed seam binding! I love it all! Hugs!

Oh my gosh I just LOVE this one! I'm such a fan of shabby chic and have a bear of time doing it! Polly, this is outstanding! Love the tulle on the jar, the shabby ribbon and the entire scene you created in that jar. Geez, this is outstanding!
