I used a Hero Arts stamp that lays down the bg....which I did by braying black acrylic paint onto the stamp and then stamping. It gives a good solid black bg. Using reinkers and an aqua brush, colored the magnolia design. I used the layout from yesterday's SC.

What an awesome stamp and how smart to use acrylic paint to get that wonderful black BG. The coloring of your flowers is so pretty and that is one of the hot color combinations for now! The new Hallmark feminine gift bags are all black and pink combos!

This is just striking, Sallie, with the painted background - that's a great tip. The magnolia blossoms are colored so perfectly, and the sketch worked great using this background!

How beautiful! I love the black bg (in acrylic paint?), and the lovely flowers. GReat use of the enamel dots and yesterday's sketch!

Beautiful, Sallie. I have this stamp and have used black embossing powder for bg. I like your idea of stamping with the black acrylic paint. I think it gives better coverage. And love the watercoloring.
