This is for Cathy's WT challenge this week - read all about it here ~ WT585 ~ May Flowers.
I had the forethought to lightly pencil a grid before stamping and masking little posies of flowers, resulting in better spacing than my normal random efforts. And I had fun colouring them with watercolours - but the whole panel was a bit overpowering so I went for toning it down with a vellum overlay over most of it. The butterfly is cut in the vellum, and I carefully masked off the surrounding vellum, inked it with gold and embossed it to match the sentiment. I also used a flourish as a guideline to emboss a flight line in the vellum with a stylus. The bottom edge was cut on a curve to reveal some of the main panel, and the whole thing was added to a white base with the bottom part embossed with swirls.

Very pretty, Sabrina. I like how you embossed the swirl for a butterfly trail. Great background with those red flowers.

I've always been kinda random, so I was impressed with your penciling in a grid. How smart!! Beautiful bg for your vellum!
