I wanted to give the illusion of a ladies old fashioned linen business suit with a lacy blouse peeking out! (Kind of Strait-laced yet feminine at the same time). I started with Beige linen carstock and drew in the wide pinstripe with a prismacolor pencil. Did a "collar cut & fold" to create lapels. Adhered 4 rows of narrow lace to my white card base and a line of pearls for buttons. Finished by layering my "linen" suit jacket over everything else.

Brilliant! I knew the fold would work with something like this, but in my mind (as far as I got) I hadn't thought of taking the fold down to such a deep point more like a jacket. That lace is a fabulous "blouse" - I remember making a dress for my Holly Hobbie doll that was like that and wishing I had one myself. I'm glad the fold inspired you!

Wonderful design! I like it so much I am keeping it. The lace and pearls are a perfect compliment to your suit! And clever you to draw the pin stripes!
