I chose this image to share this week because of the joy this image evokes! It made me think of the joy of this season as many parents celebrate special graduations.
In just a few hours I will be enjoying a dinner in celebration of the graduating youth group our son has attended. We have watched him blossom from a little boy that struggled to connect with others to a young man who reaches out and intentionally connects with others to encourage them in their spiritual journey! When we first visited our church nine years ago, he sat slumped in his chair with his hood pulled up tight around his face but with the faithfulness of care from adults and older teens he became comfortable and joined in classes for his age group. He now serves on the Sunday video team, co-leads a small group of boys each week and attends a small group of his peers on Wednesdays. This mom's heart overflows. I expect that I will be moved to tears tonight but inside my arms will be raised in joy as this marks a new stage where we let our butterfly free to follow his purpose!
Thanks so much for looking!!! On MY BLOG I have more photos of this fun project including a close up of the jar I flipped and placed on the left side of this sweet girl!
