The CASEplorations challenge (http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/s...CASEplorations) over at STAMPlorations this month featured a card by Sherry. I wanted to try to CASE her loose, watercolored background. I think I should have picked a slightly less detailed stencil... but it still works. I first watercolored over top the stencil with the mustard seed. Then I went back and inked up the actual stencil with picked raspberry and misted it with water. It was a bit tricky, but I flipped the wet, inky stencil back onto the card trying to line up the images. Finished it off with this great verse stamp from Verve. This is one of those times where the MISTI saved the day. Stamping over a background that had taken some time on rough watercolor paper? Perfect job for the MISTI!

I really love the BG you achieved with your stencil. I think you picked a great stencil to work with. It's much bolder than Shery's, but very eyecatching. Thanks for joining us at CASEplorations this month!
