This is the card my 7-year-old first-grader created for the student teacher his class has had for the last 8 weeks. He liked the idea of the chalkboard technique and decided that's what he wanted to do for this card.
All I did was ink the stamps (because he tends to get heavy-handed ), clean up a lot of the excess pastels with the chalk eraser, and help him center the black cardstock on the caramel. He chose the stamps and the colors, applied the stamps and the pastels to the cardstock, and stuck the black cardstock down tight after I helped him center it.

It is great! Speaking as a teacher....I would treasure this card! I just love it when my kids make me something. You would be amazed how many pictures I have in a folder!
Keep up the good work! :-)

What a neat idea! I bet she will love it! It's nice to know you're appreciated, especially for teachers as they have such a difficult job.
