I am not making as many cards as usual these days, so when I do make a card, I go into " Gumby mode" .... I "STRETCH" the challenges to include more of them. This is a case of shameless challenge hoarding. I started with the bright photo inspiration from the F4A325 challenge - the bright red houses and bike, the pretty green grass, white fence, and country feel gave me the colors for this card. I immediately thought of this dp when I read that the MIX172 was a wallpaper indpiration...the green dp looks like some 1960's wallpaper, and even the stenciled bg looks like wallpaper. The colors work for this week"s CC of real red, sand and cucumber, and the floral image works for the CTO316 spring theme. I used the telescoping technique for the flowers and tucked dome moss between the layers. TFL, Francie

WOW! I love this! The stenciled background and designer paper adds so much texture to this! Your work with color is fascinating, Francie! Love the way you colored your flowers too. You even created "sunshine" in your background!

GF, you are a hoot! So you've finally admitted to 'stretching' the challenge rules. Don't worry. I do the same thing all the time. The only difference between you and I is that I acknowledge 'cheating' rather than trying to pass my work off as 'stretching the guidelines.' Yes, of course, that looks like '60's WP to me. In fact, I might have even had that in my home until yesterday afternoon when I forced my sweet DH to rip that stuff off those walls immediately. I love your retro stretched card, Francie. You have the greatest vision and execution ever. Have a great weekend. Hugs

Crack me up...hoarding challenges? LOL Beautiful and artfully executed card! I love the bg for your flowers and that funky bg pattern really does look like wallpaper in a wavy Andy Warhol kind of way....if he had done backgrounds. Awesome card Francie!

Love the neutral earth-tones and wonderful moss. Of course the flowers look pretty wonderful too, Francie, and the telescoping format really adds so much interest.
