Hi there! It's Monday evening and time to share my sample for this week's Color Challenge.
This week Peggy has chosen the colors Real Red, Garden Green and Sahara Sand, and "dessert" is "Let's have a picnic!". I don't know if my card technically qualifies for "dessert", but if you have flowers at a picnic, then I'm in!
The Impression Obsession stamp I used to create my card was an impulse buy at the LSS. I loved the cute line art drawing of cone flowers and the hand drawn frame. I used an Aqua Painter and reinkers to color it, then cut it out with my paper snips to pop up over the stamped lines and splotches, and the gold thread. A White Signo Uniball pen was used to add the white highlights. The current sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch was the basis for my layout.
ETA: Okay, 2 weeks in a row I goofed on the colors! Should be Cucumber Crush not Garden Green. Sorry Peggy!!
Thanks for looking! I hope you're able to join us in this week's Color Challenge!

Thanks for the inspiration in this adorable card! I am always at a loss how to use a cute, but tiny, image as the focal point on a card. You did it to perfection on this one. Into my faves!

So cute! I like it. You used the colors well. Your design is great. Love, love the open space. The loops of metallic thread adds a lovely touch. Nicely done. TFS
