Fun Mixed Media Challenge today. We're encouraged to watercolor flowers WITHOUT USING STAMPS (gasp, you'll be alright... trust me, wink).
I never really know how my watercoloring will turn out when I make entries in my Bible. I always love how they turn out. And I have a general idea of what I'd like to see. It's just sometimes the finished page turns out a bit different than I expected.
Although it's not so visual in the photo, I mixed some super fine glitter with my cream colored acrylic paint and added it to the top of the page hoping to give it a little sunshiney effect against the blue sky background. I edged the top of the page with a hint of brown because the flower I created reminds me of the ones my gramma would plant on the edge of her vegetable garden to keep the bugs and bunnies from eating her harvest.
I outlined my flower with my PL pen and added my journaling.

Caution: You are entering an artistic zone. This is not clutter - this is creating. These are not pajamas - it's my work uniform.
We are playing in a challenge again together!! I love your Bible Journaling! Actually, since I saw your chat on FB about Bible Journaling, I have been inspired to keep a discipleship journal for a new group I am in and I am stamping and coloring the main idea daily! Thanks for the inspiration. Your free hand flower is amazing! Gorgeous flower design!
