Hello! I saw Lydia and MariLynn's sneak peeks last night on FB and didn't think I was going to get to play along with MIX170 but then my daughter informed we were not having guests until tomorrow so that meant I could put off the "to do" list until later!
I looked at all the videos Lydia shared on her post today but most closely followed her technique of laying down paint and water. It was such fun! The hardest part is waiting for paint to dry! After my flowers were dry I mixed sailboat blue alcohol reinker with glass bead texture gel and added to my flowers. Then I had to wait for gel to dry. While waiting I worked out the placement for my sentiment on the MISTI. Thank goodness for the MISTI. It took several tries to get the sentiment right and once I stamped, the BIRTHDAY word needed several over stampings to get it nice and dark.
I am also playing along with this week's Featured Stamper. I am sorry it's taken me all week but I spent my week spoiling my husband for a big birthday. Virginia is our stamper for FS481 and her gallery is amazing!! I scrolled through every page on Monday. Here is an amazing example of Virginia's artistry: Hello Beautiful.
Thanks for looking and remember it's never too late to play along with a Splitcoaststampers challenge!

Oh my, Angela! This is absolutely GORGEOUS! The richness of the watercolors and striking color combo make this card a STANDOUT! I just love everything about this card! Thank you for taking your busy time (... preparing a big party for hubby!!) out to play! I am truly honored and touched!

....just look at your fabulous bright, beautiful results.....I am so impressed! I discovered a good way to wait for paint to dry.....I work on two cards at the same time so I can just keep flipping back and forth between them. TFS!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock
