For Anna's MIX challenge today. I used wind - using a hinged spray diffuser, inks and a homemade stencil to create the background. After spraying the blue ink, I sponged the card with Weathered Wood, and then sprayed again with the yellow ink. Added the grass border and sentiment, and then stitched round the edges.
The jar was a birthday gift - thanks, Di!! I cut it from acetate and vellum, and also silver card for the closure. Embossed the acetate and silver clip. Added grass and the die-cut chickens inside and used Glossy Accents to stick the acetate to the vellum and the vellum to the card base. This is going to my BIL who just had major surgery for prostrate cancer yesterday.

Ha, ha! First thing I thought was 'is this a jar of chicken soup?'! I love your cheery chickens! What a great jar that is in vellum. It lets your super background shine through. This is a fabulous pick-me-up card! TFS

I see we both used handmade stencils today. They're fun, aren't they? I love your stitching and those chickens are just so cute. Sending good wishes for your BIL and a speedy recovery.

This is just my style, a little bit old country. I love those old mason jars. I didn't even know they had a die of that, guess I'll have to check out sizzix. I like the stitching on the side. This should definitely make a person cheer up. Cute country chicks.
