To mask the images before coloring the background, I first applied a thin layer of rubber cement over the colored and stamped images. Once the cement dried I used my mini ink blending tool to color the grass and sky with Distress Inks. I then rubbed off the rubber cement to reveal the stamped images underneath.

Congratulations on your very first upload to SCS, and what a beautiful card! I love how you've masked your sweet, sweet scene and love the adorable garden! Beautifully done! And I see you've also uploaded a card for today's Inspiration Challenge too. Cool!
I know you'll find lots of inspiration and encouragement here at SCS, and perhaps you might consider joining a challenge found on the Home Page. Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful work! Hugs!
P. S. You might want to go to the Forum, "Start Here" and get familiar with SCS and perhaps introduce yourself (by starting a new thread). Here's a direct link.
