Yes, this is an elk. I grew up in Elk County, PA so I should know what one looks like, but I screwed this up! The ruff around the elk's neck should be a much darker color than the rest of its body. I didn't realize the error until I got to this point. So when you look at thee card, pretend to see darker fur where it should be.
My inspiration was this Moose card by Cher. I kept the same colors and made it a masculine card, too. I like how it looks except for that darn fur that should be darker!

Very cool masculine card! Since I can't recall the exact coloring of an elk, I would never have know, lol. Your elk is very majestic & I love the button accents.
So gorgeous!! The image captured my eye right off and drew my attention right back after I looked at all the other pretty elements on your card. Fabulous card!

well, I knew it was an Elk... but, I have never seen a live one in person. ( just stamps ) So, I have no clue about how their coloring goes. ( besides brown as a guess) no worries, I love the layers and that you made a guy card so much!
