I started with a piece of water color paper and applied a variety of blues wet on wet, the major blue is phthalo blue, then added salt to give the illusion of stars.
I cut the moon with a 3" circle punch, and backed it with a pearl vellum (paper studio, I think?) embossed with the Spellbinders French Script Texture Plate. Drew some rough freehand circles and dots around the moon using silver and gold gel pens.
I applied metal flashing tape from the dollar store to card stock, ran it through with the Spellbinders Up and Away die to cut the balloon. Sponged on a few shades of brown alcohol inks and then added a little Mown Grass distress stain because I can't find my green alcohol ink. (and it didn't work well, should have just gone and bought more green alcohol ink) The basket is brown cardstock highlighted with brilliance cosmic copper.
Popped the die cut on with some foam dots, and the mounted the whole thing on a watercolor paper card.

Additional Info
Paper: watercolor paper, metal flashing tape, brown cardstock
Paper Size: 5.5 x 4
Ink: Ranger alcohol ink caramel, latte, ginger; distress stain mowed grass; primary water color phthalo blue
Accessories: Spellbinders French Script Texture Plate; Spellbinders Up and Away die
Techniques: embossing, wet on wet watercolor, salt on water color
Are you salting with kosher salt? I get a much better result with good artist grade watercolors because they have a lot more pigment than student/kid grade or even distress stains. Oh, and you can enhance salt by waiting until it is mostly dry and then misting or flicking water.

Oh my goodness this is gorgeous. I especially love the way your salting technique turned out. The nice big moon behind the balloon is very striking. Great card. Linda
