It's time to Tickle a Teapotter, so our destination is a fellow Teapotter! I tried out the Hinged Panel technique, so this is also for Monday's Try a New technique.
Wanda challenged us to bring two baby animals and for extra cookies, a spring shower theme. I'm a sucker for dessert!
Mama Duck is stamped in the bg and colored with alcohol inks. I stamped an extra flower umbrella, added some dimension with an embossing stylus and popped it up with tape. Colored a pond for her to swim in and sponged grey chalk for the sky. I used mirror stamping to get two ducklings, colored and fussy cut to create the top panel and mounted with more dimensional tape. Stamped and colored the chick button and adhered with baker's twine. Stamped a puddle and doodled some rain on the inside panel, colored and added the 2nd chick button. Mounted image and sentiment panel on blue textured paper. Had a lot of fun with this one, TFL!

Oh, I just love the Suzy's Zoo stamps - I have one! This is totally delightful - I'm glad I came along to check the TLC gallery before shutting down the PC for the night. I love the way you've added a duck (and rain for bonus cookies) on the hinge part. And the extra dimension to the ducklings on the front.
What a great sentiment - there certainly are times it's better to give up on a real umbrella and just embrace the rain!

Very cute Carla...I love your duckies! And you even decorated the inside..I think you get extra cookies for that! And hat's off to you for doing the mirror stamping..I almost did that to create a pair of something...can't remember. Fun card..maybe I'll get it..

Pinned and faved before I typed a word. Carla this is beyond cute, I love the hinged layout and all the little ducks and water! Thanks for the detailed description, I loved reading about the process. Your reverse stamped duck is brilliant - which ever one he is!
