I chose to CASE this cutie of Jenn's. I kept Jenn's theme of friendship come rain or shine. I also chose to go with an image that combined a person and an animal. I changed:
- used paper piecing to add in my color
- left most of image uncolored
- different colors and image
Tried both a black and a white card base and decided that the black one gave the card a more finished look than the white one - I felt it looked more like my partial "coloring" was a design choice, not a case of "Oops - forgot to finish coloring it." I added some shading to the paper pieced parts with a W2 copic marker.
Congrats, Jenn on being this week's Featured Stamper!

Oh, Debbie, this is fabulous and a great card for that challenge! I love this image and how you've really ramped it up with the paper-piecing - and added some nice shading too! Yes, friends definitely brighten your day!! Hugs, my friend! xoxo

I LOVE this card, Debbie! Your designs are just amazing and always so visually pleasing. You are also the master of copics, shading the designer paper! The uncolored portion really makes that red pop! Beautifully done!

This is really cute and I like the way you highlighted the word 'brighten'.
