here I sail into the last challenge for 'Here Comes the Sun' March VSN. Thanks Shoe Girl for your use a boat on your card prompt. I invite you to my quiet waters.
I really luv collage. It is like a puzzle for my gray matter. And what better way to get water to my sailing ship than to finish off the Peppermint Ice Cream from a local dairy. What a labor of love to get this beautiful paining by Don Bishop that WAS the container of said ice cream. I wasn't quite sure how I would work it into a card, but here 'tis.
The sailing ship is an unknown stamp. I placed it to sail into other territory from the painting. Oregon is a stunning canvas of natures glory. Mountains, coast, lava fields, panning for gold, waterfalls to numerous to count, fruit orchards, microbrews.
I shopped my stash for stickers related to the theme. And a very special heart sticker made from a beet chip bag that the talented tessduck created. Yes, I am repurposing your delightful card, mf.
Come visit...we'll sail away.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Love that vintage scenery, Susan - and the brilliant "warning". Definitely sometimes needed - and why I really enjoy a motorbike in Greece, when we can easily stop and pull in as often as we wish. What a great ship. I'm totally absorbed in how well you pulled so many disparate elements together so cleverly.

Oh my check out that scenery on the card and super darling ship you added too, it finished the card off perfectly. You have taken recycling to a whole new level of creating stunning cards. I am for sure going to be looking at the packages coming in to my home in a whole new light. Thank you for creating such a stunning piece for the Boat challenge.
