Carla aka Covington Crafter has given us super fun VSN challenge and a walk down memory lane......Give Me a Head With Hair!!
Success at last. I managed to knock this out in 50 minutes, which is about 4 hours quicker than I usually make a card LOL. Fussy cutting, Smack & Squirt, air drying and doohickie sticks all take too much time for a VSN so I did a very quick Brusho background on an A4 sheet and dried it quickly with a heatgun.
I stamped Alfie directly onto the cardstock, thanks to the magic of MISTI, I was able to stamp him about 6 times. I drew the legs directly onto the card and found a previously stamped pair of boots in my stash. Quickly stamped on a dotty tree and a added a bit of white stenciling with Dylusions paint and my finger tips.
Alfie's shining, gleeming, streaming, flaxen and waxen hair, started out life as a feather stamp, stamped onto a scrap from my stash, added flicks of Tombow markers, white pen and stickles then a quick (not so) fussy cut.
I stamped the sentiment, cut at random angles, stuck on green scrap then cut around it to match the first layer - this was heaps quicker than lining it up neatly and cutting properly.
I had heaps of fun making this. Thanks for the fun challenge Carla.

Oh, Susie, this is so funny! Just so creative! My mind just doesn't work like yours. In fact it hardly works at all! LOL I would never think of something like this. You are so good! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us!

Susie...I'm thinking that somewhere out in the atmosphere, or the Cloud or wherever great minds go to commune I think our minds have touched recently. I said "great minds" in order to help us through this. I wouldn't want to think any less of us. This is a little Weird. I've been working on a card...well, I have crawled completely out of my box and been putting together a card involving feathers. It's really wonky and I don't know what in the world possessed me to make such a card. Mine, however, doesn't include stylish boots such as yours. Mine includes toenails. Your's has the fancy schmancy leggings. Mine has bare legs. Your background is Delightfully colorful and mine is colorless. I was looking all over for a sentiment that I had seen awhile back that said "You're Weird....something, something, something, something. I couldn't remember the rest of it. But I think it was something different than "I like it." I love your choice by the way. Anyway, I haven't run across it yet. But then I decided to go a different direction with the sentiment. Just have to find the right font and I'll be done. You know.....our cards are really nothing alike. But I do think our minds have bumped together somewhere. Thanks for listening.

I was commenting in order on the VSN cards, but when I saw a Susie special on the horizon, I just had to cheat and jump ahead and give myself a treat before going off to wash the floors. Alfie looks like a punk rocker -except the boots don't quite fit that image! But the hair, oh my, you really aced Carla's challenge.

Susie, I am just so ticked at how fun this hair is on this. You sure have me laughing. Seeing your cards really does bring a smile to me even on a rough starting Monday. Thank you for the smiles and laughs.

Into my faves with so many of your other cards, my friend. Love the sentiment and the crazy stuff you have done wit this card. I really do love weird - so much better than boring and cookie cutter. I have always thought of weird as a compliment - my Dad did not agree the day I called him weird - lol! Fun, fun, fun card. Love that bg and the headdress/hair/feathers. Hugz
