Well - I made a sample using a heat-based technique for Sonja's cool (hot!!) VSN challenge working off the advance notice - and then read her challenge write-up and realised that she was asking us to find a new-to-us technique and give that a try. So here's my real card for her challenge.
I could only find three techniques in the Tutorials section that I hadn't done - and I don't have an airbrush system so that ruled one out, but trying out this Faux Leather with Masking Tape has been on my to-do list for YEARS - so thanks for the final incentive, Sonja!!
I followed the tutorial, and then edged the panel with brown acrylic paint. The coloured image panel was on my computer monitor stand; I'm pretty sure it had been coloured with either Polychromos or Couleur d'Art pencils. That gave me time to make a little flower using a strip of muslin and the Stitched Ribbon Flower tutorial. I used an old SU brad for the centre, with a circle of card, glossy accents and a sprinkle of microbeads. I used a pink Gelato to add colour to the edges of the flower, and added some die-cut foliage. The sentiment is simply tucked underneath, and I finished it off with some half-pearls in dark brown.
All the challenges will be found on the master challenge thread which is HERE.

How beautiful! The lighter tones of "leather" have such a fresh look and your muslin flower really pushes the feminine vibe. Love the antiqued edges and brown pearls. Your creative inspirations never fail to please. Thank you for playing in my challenge.
