This is my card for Michelle's challenge MAR16VSNJ vintage or distressed. I used 2 different background stamps for the 'wall' behind the picture. For the frame, after die cutting, I embossed it and then rubbed gold encore ink over the raised areas to gild it for a vintage look. I wanted rose colored flowers, but have no rose cardstock, so I rubbed my victorian velvet distress pad on some cardstock, & then punched lots of little flowers from that. I layered them and used a stylus to give them some shape.

Such tiny details, amazing patience to cut and roll all those pink petals. The frame looks great-almost like a golden leopard gave his spots to make it perfect.

The shape of that image panel is perfect for adding to the old-fashioned feel. Great work matching your roses to the ones in in her hat. And I'm intrigued - does the Encore gold dry for you? I've never found that it dried even after days, so I only use it for embossing.
