Mary is our hostess this week and she set up a fun Bingo Game for us to choose from. I have chosen the first vertical row: Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizazz, Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate and a desert is anything goes, so I am choosing to use a stencil. I subbed for the Mossy Meadow and the Strawberry Slush (Ripe Avocado and Worn Lipstick).
I am using a technique that was on last week's "Make it Monday" on the PTI blog, which is to sponge and blend inks over a portion of your panel, lay a stencil down and then sponge again with the same colors or with slightly different shades (I used the same colors). I also added a bit more sponging after I stenciled to get a bit more depth of color at the bottom of my panel. Stamped the branches and sentiment (a NBUS set from Penny Black - I saw Karen use it so many times - I just had to have it!), die cut and stamped the bird and blossoms, matted, assembled, and added gems.
Come and join in the challenge - you may be our next favorite!!

Oooh, that technique sounds wonderful! I need to give it a try. I love how you used the colors from the column you chose. This card just calls out SPRING, with the pink, green, bird and blossoms! Beautiful!
