This card is for today's Free for All Challenge, to base our card on a book we liked and the MIX challenge to use primary colors. The book I choose was THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY. I listened to this book on tape while driving up to work last summer and found it thoroughly enjoyable and very uplifting. It is the story of a retired man who goes out one day to mail a letter to a dying friend and just keeps walking. His journey is over 500 miles long. It is a story of transformation and hope. I copied a map of England from my Encyclopedia and than printed it onto CS. I cut the image down to fit my card. I sprayed Daffodil Delight Mist onto the map and then placed a sunburst stencil and sponged Soft Sky ink onto the rays. Then I stamped some leaves with Marina Mist ink. I hand drew a walking route in Real Red marker. The gentleman is the Murray with cake stamp by Rubbernecker. I omitted the birthday hat and cake and drew in an envelope instead. Image was colored with pencils. I cut a circle from Daffodil Delight CS and embossed a greeting.

Your card is perfect for that story and I like that you have that gentleman stamp and could draw in an envelope....just what it needed.

What a terrific card, Kathy, relating to your chosen book and for the Mix Challenge! Your book does sound interesting - I like that your bg on this is a map with the route he took on his pilgrimage!
